SHIPPING POLICY - Once full payment has been received, you can schedule to have your animal shipped. We only ship via FedEx Priority Overnight.
We ship animals out on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays for overnight delivery to your nearest FedEx Ship Center. We will only ship geckos when daytime temperatures are between 40°F and 90°F. We expect all shipments to be picked up within 4 hours of arrival at a FedEx location and marked ‘ready for pick up’. We can only ship to a FEDEX SHIP CENTER and the person receiving the animal must have a driver’s license to match the shipping label (FedEx policy). Live animals cannot be shipped to FedEx Ship and Print Centers or FedEx kiosk in Walmart, Walgreens, Hotels, or by any other parcel delivery service such as USPS, etc. If weather conditions do not permit shipping, we will hold onto your animal at no additional charge until conditions are favorable.
FedEx domestic priority overnight shipping costs usually range from $50 to $85. Once your location has been provided, we can provide you with an exact price for shipping. Factors involved in the calculation of shipping expenses may include materials required (cryopaks, heat packs, etc.) and actual shipping fees. Every box is different depending on weight, weather, and destination.
An email or text with the tracking information will be sent to you when your order is prepared. Once you receive the copy of your shipping label, make sure that all of the information is accurate. Once the animal has been dropped off, changes are extremely unlikely, so mistakes need to be caught prior to shipping. In addition to your address, we require your email and daytime phone number. This information is required for FedEx live animal shipments. We cannot be responsible for carrier delays, but we will work with you to keep you informed of updates. All orders must be paid in full before we will ship out your order.
LIVE ARRIVAL GUARANTEE - We offer a “Live Arrival Guarantee” when you have your animal held for pickup at your nearest FedEx Ship Center. We cannot guarantee live arrival for home, business or international deliveries, but if that is your only option, please remember that we will do everything we can to pack in anticipation of delays, and will always pack and ship your animal as safely as possible.
The health of all of the animals we breed and sell are of the utmost importance to us. In the highly unlikely event that your animal arrives in poor health or deceased, you must contact us immediately. If the animal is still alive, we will attempt to help remedy the problem before it's too late. If the animal arrives dead, we require digital pictures be sent to herphaus@proton.me within 60 minutes of delivery. If we determine your claim to be valid in accordance with our live arrival guarantee when packages are picked up from a FedEx ship center, we will help find a suitable replacement animal for you. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we must be notified within the first 60 minutes of receipt of the animal. Please open your boxes and inspect your order after signing the delivery receipt and contact us immediately with any concern.
We do not issue refunds under any circumstances. The buyer is responsible for all shipping charges associated with replacements. All guarantees are void if you are unable to pick up your animal from the ship center on the first day that it is available for pickup, and/or if we are not contacted within 60 minutes of pickup.
Please note that THH is an exclusively online and trade show business that does not have a storefront or open to the public facility. However, customers may arrange a local pickup to avoid shipping costs. If you are located in or around Hot Springs, AR, then we can arrange to meet up to avoid shipping costs. Additionally, we can deliver your animal at no charge to any show we are vending, provided that show occurs within 30 days of the sale or final payment.
PAYMENT PLANS - Payment plans are available for up to 60 days. Our minimum for a payment plan is $300.00 (before shipping) with a 25% nonrefundable deposit to hold any animal. The remaining 75% must be paid within 60 days. The customer may make the remaining payments in intervals and quantities of their choosing; however, those intervals and payment amounts must be agreed upon by THH prior to accepting the payment plan. We do not offer any discounts for payment plans. Please be sure that you intend to purchase the animal before entering into a payment agreement. Any payments made are non-refundable. All payment plans MUST be paid off within 60 days of initial deposit. All payments made with a payment plan are NON-REFUNDABLE. If full payment is not received within 60 days, THH will put the animal back up for sale and you will forfeit your payments. If you back out of your payment plan, the animal will be re-posted for sale and all payments that were made toward the animal are non-refundable. The price of the animal must be paid in full before shipping can occur.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING - We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, or internationally. We will ship your animal to an exporter at your request. We do not facilitate exporting therefore all paperwork, fees, permits, etc. must be handled between the buyer and exporter prior to THH shipping the animal to the exporter. If the animal must be held at THH to accommodate the buyer or exporter, there will be an extended hold fee of $50 which may be negotiated prior to purchase.
ANIMALS OUTSIDE OF OUR CARE - We are available for help with care at any time during the life of your animal but we are NOT responsible for animals once they are in your possession. Once the animal is in the hands of the buyer, it's health and well-being is beyond our control and therefore we will not be held responsible for any sickness or accidents once they are in your care. Our animals leave our hands in 100% good health and guaranteed to be eating and thriving. In the unlikely event your animal arrives (from shipping) deceased or in a state of poor health, we will refer to the live arrival guarantee policy.
Our main goal is to make every transaction a pleasant experience. If any problems arise, please be assured that we will make it right! Our reputation is very important to us and we have built and maintained our good name by providing great animals and products as well as excellent customer service. In the unlikely event that there is a problem with any animal, we ask that you keep the details of the problems private. You must first contact us and allow us the time to review your claim, and figure out a suitable arrangement to replace your animal. Posting details of the transaction, problem, or claim, on any public forum or website is a direct violation of this policy and will result in the immediate and unconditional void of any guarantees, replacements, or negotiations regarding the claim in place.
VARIABLES TO KEEP IN MIND - Please keep in mind that there are variations in computer/phone/tablet screen colors, but we do our best to get representative photos of our animals. We do not use filters or photo enhancing techniques on any photo of any animal we sell. If you are unsure about the animal’s actual color, contact us and we can send additional photos or videos of the animal under different lighting to make sure you are completely satisfied with the animal prior to purchase.
Gender is always hard with younger geckos. We will not guarantee gender until an animal has reached sexual maturity unless stated otherwise prior to purchase. We do our best to sex animals accurately using up to date methods and best practice.
Sometimes geckos will drop their tail as a defense mechanism. Gargoyle geckos do regrow their tails, but they are often darker and lacking the original color. If a gecko for sale has previously dropped its tail, it will be very clearly stated. If you have already purchased a gecko or are in the process of a payment plan and the gecko drops its tail, you will be notified; however, there will be no discount on the gecko as this will not affect the health of your gecko. It is very rare but geckos can drop their tails during shipping. They can also drop their tails when stressed and sometimes for no apparent reason at all. It is a natural occurrence and it has no effect on their health or breeding ability. We are not responsible and no compensation will be given if your gecko drops its tail during or after shipping.
THH reserves the right to refuse a sale to any person or entity for any reason.
